How Do You Prevent Content From Being Removed On Youtube Due To Copyright?
I’m trying to see how can you prevent the content from being removed on a youtube video due to copyright. I really just want to see what material can you use so that youtube will not remove the content. Like with music, should you use music from like a CD instead of downloading it from like itunes? Can you give me any suggestions?
There’s no guarantee way to avoid it. If you upload anything with copyright videos or audio, don’t be surprise if it gets pulled off.
It doesn’t matter where your music is coming from, be it from CD or downloaded. So long as it’s legally downloaded, you don’t have a problem. If, however, you do use music that is NOT yours (like by another artist) and don’t give proper credit in your video description, youtube might remove the video or simply give you the option of deleting the song. The other option is to go to court with it, so deleting the music on your video is the lesser of two evils.
As for video content, the only way that will get removed is if you post tv show parts or movie parts before they have aired. (i.e. if you post an episode of a tv show before it comes out in the US, they can remove your video ‘due to copyright violations’.
The quick and easy way is to 1. not upload movies/tv shows 2. give proper credit where credit is due (give the artist’s name, album, and then state that you don’t own anything) and 3. copy and paste the following to every video as a safeguard:
FAIR USE- “Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for “fair use” for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
Being on a CD doesn’t matter. If you don’t have the rights to use that music, or if it’s not royal free music, then your video could potentially get pulled for copyright infringement.
Try searching for royalty free music on any search engine and see what you can find. Youtube also offers an audio replacement where you can choose music from their list. You can do this in the screen where you edit your videos. Just click on the button that says “Audio Swap”.
go to the dispute form.. select number 2.. then where it says plz explain put in this..

Entirely original material helps. Or you could do like everyone else and just steal other people’s material an pass it off as your own. Worked for my Milli Vanilli Tribute Band…
