How Does Youtube Check Uploaded Videos For Copyright Infringement?
A few of my friends have had their youtube acccounts deleted because of something called “copyright infringement”. The biggest offender seems to be WMG. If the internet was made to share videos via youtube, then in my opinion accounts shouldn’t be deleted.? It seems to be pissing a lot of people off. I just want a few opinions on this matter,

Hey Craig S.,
YouTube respects the rights of copyright holders and publishers and requires all users to confirm they own the copyright or have permission from the copyright holder to upload content. They comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable copyright laws and promptly remove content when properly notified. Repeat infringers’ videos are removed and their accounts are terminated and permanently blocked from using YouTube. For more information about YouTube’s copyright policy, read their Copyright Tips.

They match the content of theirs with yours. WMG should be Warner Music Group. You can actually argue the case. I found a letter that someone wrote to YouTube. All I did was cut and paste it on the appeal form and they allow my video to run. I can’t find it on my hard drive anymore. Try googling for it.
WMG payed for the rights to own the copyrighted stuff. They had absolute permission to own them, and yeah, they PAYED.The other youtubers having copyrighted stuff, where they had no permission and they didn’t pay, are breaking the rules. Also i agree with u, youtube shudnt care about that stuff. i want to be able to play copyrighed music on my vids….damn youtube.
