How Does Youtube Connect To The Whole World At A Fast Speed?

Say I was in Germany or something, if I had fast internet, YouTube videos would load really fast. But if I was in Germany and the other person was in USA and we both had a fast connection, why does it go slow when YouTube goes fast everywhere?

It doesn’t it goes at the same exact speed everywhere. It just depends on your connection and location from the server, which the location is just very minimal, less than a half a second. So it doesn’t go slow.

YouTube’s servers are in California I think. It can take longer to download from California to Germany than within California, simply because there are more “hops” or data distribution points along the trip (Google “trace route”) Many things can affect your internet connection speed. But for the most part, there is no noticeable difference from any location that would be caused by geographic location differences.

mostly it depends on the software on your computer.Youtube runs by itself mostly. But when something is wrong the editors will fix everything right away.
