Author: I want to be able to go on Youtube and basically copy paste or drag drop a video directly into my movie library on my computer. How do I do that? I mean, the video itself, not a link to it.

No, it can’t be done. However you don’t need to install software directly on your PC if you don’t want to. There are web sites such as http://www.videodl.org/ that will convert it for you, and let you download the video in a format you can watch on your computer.
