Question by : How do you put videos from youtube into an ipod touch without having to download things?
I have the new iPod touch and I want to download youtube videos on it.
How do I do it without having to download anything.

I’ve tried a lot of them, such as:

‘Youtube Video Grabber’
‘Xilisoft’
The Mozilla Firefox downloadhelper

And NONE of them work.

Take the ‘Youtube Video Grabber’ for example. When I finish downloading it, I can’t do anything with the file because a little box comes up, saying that it could not be detected and asked if I should use a web program or a program on the computer to find it.

Is that normal, or am I just doing something wrong. I follow all the steps that are put out, but I just can’t get it right.
Does it work if the videos are made in a different country from me?
Can you download any videos, or do they have to be specific?

Does anyone know any youtube downloaders that have worked for them in the past?

Please help!
Thanks Tim B., but I can do everything up to playing it. When I add .wmv to the file, and play it on windows media player, it says that it has an extension that doesn’t match the file format, whatever that means.
I have a feeling though, that it would work on anyone’s else computer, just not mine, because nothing works. It really sucks…
I just realized something, Tim B., that I can play it on a flv. thingo. Do you know how to convert it to fit itunes? Thanks man.

The reason you can’t open it is cuz its in flv format (youtube default). I use the Biennesoft YouTube Downloader. First download the video as an flv file. Then using the same program you convert it to avi. You can get it at that website….its free too and no crapware installs with it. Have fun!!

Question by Luke: Who has been having trouble with Youtube Downloaders?
Ive been trying to get a Youtube Downloader that actually works, and they have all not worked so far. I tried AresTube, that didn’t work. I tried ClipNabber, that sucked. I tried Youtube Grabber, that failed. I tried Free YouTube Download but that also didn’t work. I also tried FVD, but that also didn’t work properly. I tried 4U Youtube Download Video but just like the others, it didn’t work. I have been searching and searching for a Youtube Downloader that actually works, and they have all been disappointing so far, and I’m wondering who else has been having trouble with YouTube Downloaders?

There are ones that actually work, if you google “Firefox youtube download plugin” you can browse mozilla’s firefox plugin archive. I use it often… But YouTube in general…Doesn’t have very good quality on audio.

I was wondering this because i’m thinking of posting music on youtube. But, i want to do this without it being taken off. How do I do that?

I put up songs usually on Youtube so the majority of the time, they get copyrighted. Sometimes the video is pulled off youtube but the majority of the time the send me a notice that just states that there are going to be ads on the video. How many violations can I get before I end up getting suspended?

I have a Flip Mino (not HD) and am trying to figure out how to upload videos onto YouTube, with the videos resulting with high-quality and shown in widescreen, even though the Mino does not have widescreen.
Any help would be awesome. Thanks.
