This guide will show you how to download video content from numerous sites (YouTube, etc.) and convert YouTube videos to iPod on Mac using 2 methods. It is pretty simple once you get the hang of it !

iPod touch, iPhone accepts MP4 video detail as follow: MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per sec., Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48 kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov formats.

1.Download YouTube videos

The downloaded file might be two formats: AVI and FLV. iPod and iPhone supports only MP4 format. So you need to convert the videos to MP4 files.

Following are Three ways to save Youtube to iPhone I often used:

Part one. Convert Youtube to iPhone (video to iPhone 3G) with iPhone Video Converter (for Windows users).

1. Copy and paste the link of video from Youtube in this website: www.videodownloadx.com. Then click download and right click on ‘the download then save as.’, while saving, you can type the video as “title.flv”.

2. iPhone can play MP4 video, MP3, m4a audio.

After downloading, you should convert the *.flv to *.mp4 format. So you can download third party software to convert Youtube to iPhone video to iPhone 3G). If you already know how to convert Youtube to iPhone (video to iPhone 3G), you can go to Part two; else, as convert Youtube to iPhone I prefer using Daniusoft iPhone Video Converter, it converts video formats to iPhone including AVI, MP4, MPEG, WMV, XviD, H.264, DAT, MOV, ASF and FLV, etc. to iPhone MPEG-4, H.264, and rip video audio to iPhone MP3, M4A, AAC. YouTube actually has two versions of every video, high and low quality, once you have found a video you would like to download, you can select either high, low, or both. The videos will download in sequence and in the background. Once it’s done downloading, the video is available from within the application. It is easy-to-use and the converting speed is fast! After testing, all formats conversions work well, the output audio and image quality is excellent! Let’s view the steps.

Part 1: Convert DVD movie to iPhone, iPod touch/classic/video/nano, Zune, PSP, YouTube, Audio, etc

1. Download the latest version Ultimate DVD Video Converter Suite, and install it.

2. Run the Ultimate DVD Converter, load your DVD by clicking ‘Open DVD’ button or choosing ‘Open DVD’ from ‘File’ drop down menu. One or several titles appear in the list after loading DVD.

3. Profile select. You can choose other video formats: iPod, iPhone, iPod touch, iPod video nano, Zune, PSP, video capable MP3 players, video capable mobile phones, Pocket P.C and so on. iPod MPEG4 Movie(.mp4) is the default DVD for iPod video quality. Set the appropriate format as you like.

4. Output settings. Set your Audio/Video output Settings and tick appropriate parameters.

5. Choose the pathname where you want to save your video files by clicking the right button of Output table. When everything setted well, click the ‘Convert’ button to start converting.

Tips:
Tip1: Crop—- Choose the crop mode
Tip2: Resize——-Choose the output size you need
Set Crop to “Crop both black bands” and resize to be “stretch to full screen” if you don’t need to keep the subtitle.
Set crop to “Crop the upper black band” so you can keep the subtitle in the down black band.

Tip3: Mode
Direct mode, you can convert the main movie directly.
Batch mode, you can choose the chapter you need to convert.

Part 2: Convert AVI, WMV, MPEG, RM, RMVB, ASF, MOV, DivX, XviD, MPG, etc to iPhone, iPod touch/classic/video/nano, Zune, PSP, YouTube, Audio, etc

How to Rip DVD to iPod / Zune / iPhone / PSP / PS3 / Youtube / Xbox?

Step 1. Free download Xilisoft DVD Ripper Ultimate and install it .

Step 3. Select output format
Select one or more files in the list, click Profile drop-down button, select an output format for selected files in the drop down list that opens.

Step 4. Set output folder
Click Browse button in setting panel, select a destination folder in the dialog box that opens, and click OK.

3. Adjust video subtitle

4. Create video watermark
Click Effects button to open Effects window, and click Watermark button in the left Effects window to open watermark setting page. And then check Enable Watermark check box and add watermark for the video.

Tips:
Click Restore Defaults button, to restore the default settings.
Adjust watermark position manually: drag the vertical & horizontal line displayed on the watermark to set the vertical position of the watermark.

5. Compare and preview the source video and destination video
You can preview the effect of the destination video after adding effects for the video.
