- “art”, in terms of conventions, as “amorphous” as possible.
- “construction”, in which the work is not it’s purpose, but an excuse.
- interpretations, or rather readings which can coexist despite being seemingly exclusive.
- objects “aesthetically anesthetized,” lapsed in their likely sight complacency; “rectified”, “assisted”, to give them a new –often unusual- significance. As with the choice of “ready-mades”: “based on visual indifference and a total absence of good or bad taste”

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is a steel roller coaster at Universal Studios Florida. This custom-designed attraction features an on-board sound system to provide a soundtrack for the 3,800-foot (1,200 m) roller coaster track, as well as video cameras to record the experience. It was officially opened by Universal on August 19, 2009.
The roller coaster’s vertical lift hill being 167 feet (51 m) tall, making it the tallest in the Orlando area. Its designed to allow four trains to be on the track at a time and feature six near-miss encounters and a unique form of vertical loop.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is an "X-Car Coaster", a proprietary design from Maurer Söhne, and is considered the largest roller coaster of its kind in the world. Maurer Söhne expected the attraction to carry approximately 1,850 riders per hour.
In the attraction’s queue line, video monitors entertain waiting guests. The programming is hosted by characters who introduce one of Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit’s signature components, its customizable soundtrack. Guests select a musical track from one of five genres—classic rock/metal, rap/hip-hop, country, pop/disco and club/electronica—to hear during their experience. Each genre has six songs available, bringing a total of 30 different tunes to the ride’s on-board library. The songs will not be re-arranged to fit the roller coaster’s design; however, the musical artists granted the ride’s designers the ability to select when their songs started and stopped, in order to provide the best match to the ride.
The station features a moving sidewalk on the loading platform. According to the designers, the riders have about 45 seconds from the time they step onto the loading platform to be seated, lower the lap bar and make their music selection before the train is dispatched. The roller coaster departs the station and climbs its 167-foot (51 m) vertical lift, reaching the top in just over 16 seconds. It then drops to the ground before entering the "double take," a circular element 103 feet (31 m) in diameter which looks like a standard vertical loop, but the track twists around at the top of the loop such that the train is right-side-up when descending the loop. The train descends and twists again on the way down then climbs to reach the first of several mid-course brake sections.
The "non-inverting" loop elementThe roller coaster exits the brakes and drops back towards street level, passing through the building of Twister…Ride it Out before entering a series of swooping curves called the "treble clef". From above this section appears to have been inspired by the musical notation of the same name. The train climbs the treble clef and exits into another mid-course brake section. Now returning towards the station, the roller coaster enters a series of sharp turns. The first, nicknamed the "jump cut," is a unique element similar to a corkscrew, but without turning the riders upside-down. The second is the "crowd surfer," an overbanked turn that passes over portions of the queue line for the attraction.
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit then enters another mid-course brake section before it prepares to exit the park grounds. It next encounters "drop tuning," named for a type of guitar tuning, which is a quick drop into a landscaped area in front of the Sharp Aquos Theatre. Emerging above the ground, the roller coaster enters a 540-degree helix nicknamed the "plot twist". After the plot twist, the coaster enters its last brake section and makes a small drop called the "chorus" and then ascends again onto the brakes that slow down the train before entering the station.

So. The other day, I woke up very, very late. Like 4PM late. Then, I went to the camera store to grab some film I’d had developed, partially followed by some creeper by the name of Eric who I enjoy ripping on, not because he’s a creeper (I was actually joking about that) but because he’s an exceptionally tolerant Christian and I respect that. Enough to poke fun at, but never directly, deeply insult him. It makes sense to me so shut up.
Either way, I got the film, then headed on over to Ryan’s for a critique party filled with harsh interpretations, subtle criticisms, soaring praises and irrefutably interesting dialogues. And weed. Good times.
Returned to the apartment by around 2 or 3AM. Time had fuckin’ flew. Eric was there, upset about something. So I listened and helped him empty the proverbial sand from his metaphorical vagina. This is me giving a shit about something. Shot by Eric, who had yet to grasp the focusing system of my 600 SE’s rangefinder functions.
But…
I love how fuzzy this looks.
Reminds me of the feeling I got when I first listened to Music Has The Right To Children by Boards of Canada.

Berserkers aren’t as cute when they’re…well…berserk.
Bjorn still retains slight adorability even when he’s apparently about to rip your face off.
They also seem to emit a sort of steam? Smoke? What is that I don’t know. Maybe it was just something I put on the picture to make it seem a bit less plain and have more depth.

Did I mention the merch stand at the Carcass show was ridiculously expensive? At one point between songs Jeff Walker asked the crowd if everyone thought the band was ripping them off with their merch prices. When everyone yelled back a resounding YES, he said told us to fuck off, hahaha. It was ridiculous though, for a hoodie? for a shot glass? LAME! And no, I didn’t buy anything besides beer.
