Question by T.M 23: How to rip video from youtube & import to vegas?
I’m trying to figure out how to rip a video from youtube and import it to vegas at a very high quality, because I want to edit it, and export it as a high quality quicktime video.
UPDATE:
I actually obtained a .avi version of the video. It wouldnt import into vegas with the video so I tried the xillosoft converter, but the converted version was playing very slow.

That is not actually legal. YouTube protects their videos. There are ways to do it, but they all require some not-so-trustworthy sites, and they all decrease the quality of the video.

I would suggest for many reasons contacting the poster of the video and asking for an original copy to be sent to you. If they agree, then good, you now have what you wanted. If they say no, then it is not legal to take it from YouTube anyway.
