Question by : How can I download YouTube videos so I can put them in a Windows Movie Maker project?
Ive tried an online downloader, its mediaconverter.org, and i download them in .wmv format, but when I import that downloaded .wmv media to movie maker, it doesn’t wanna play or work.

Should I be doing something different? My main goal here is to put a youtube video in my movie. any help would be appreciated. thanks!

yeah sometimes that happen to me too when i download from online websites, try using real player.. and look for other converter websites.

Okay this is driving me insane. I’ve tried soooo many things but none of them work.

I need to take videos from Youtube and save them into my videos folder. Then i need to import them into Windows Movie Maker. I’ve tried tons of things (youtube downloader, youtube video grabber ect.) but none of them seem to work.

I dont want to download any more programs for this. I just need a simple website that will take videos from youtube and convert them into .wmv

I would REALLY appreciate it if someone could give me a link to a website. Thanks :]

It’s not working because you didn’t SAVE MOVIE FILE. Instead you did SAVE PROJECT AS. =P

Saving it as a movie file allows the video to actually be played in Windows Media Player, VLC player, etc.

Saving it as a project only keeps the video in Windows Movie Maker.

this will help you…. Use ‘zillatube’. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 video formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/etc using windows movie maker(included in your windows machine) to create new masterpieces…. then save it as video file such as wmv.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mpg videos with windows movie maker.

It works very well….just google search for “zillatube”
