My friend said that she has firefox to and can download youtube videos straight from youtube, instead of going to one of thoughs download websites where you type in the URL. I have the latest version of firefox, so can you please tell me step by step how you do it or if i need another version of firefox? Thanks.

Question by Teenaged mastermind: Trying to rip a movie from Youtube to a CD?
There’s this movie on Youtube that I want to download for my nephews onto a blank CD only for them. How can I do it, if it’s possible.

Here a step by step guide. Hope this helps
1)Find the youtube video
2)Copy URL (the address on the top of the screen)
3)open new tab/new window and go to http://keepvid.com/
4)paste the Youtube URL (address) into the box on keepvid and hit “DOWNLOAD”
5)Input the Confirmation Code
6)Download the MP4 file

There you go, its the mp4/video file of the video.
And just burn it to a CD, unless you want to play it on a dvd player than burn with NERO (nero should burn .mp4 files, if not just google around a bit

The get_video url used to work to download youtube videos but seems to have now gone away. Has anyone figured out the new url to use to download vids off of Youtube?

im not specifically looking to download HD videos, but when i watch my downloaded youtube video, the quality is not the same with the quality in the site, the downloaded video looks like crap, its a blurred and not clear

I’ve tried different programs.. either the video quality looks bad or the music plays bad (with many interuptions.)

I guess youtube.com is trying to prevent people download videos with different techniques?

i use windows movie maker and it works fine the thing is stuff like that will probly happen with your computer becuse its your file, I went to my buddies house and it played great but at mine it doesnt kind of odd
